Nathan Omans’14 is surrounded by Team Beloit in Edgewood, Iowa, last summer as the group wrapped up a seven-day, 418-mile bicycle journey across the state. The team, spearheaded by the college’s Development & Alumni Relations Office, will be donning one-of-a-kind jerseys and participating in the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa (known as RAGBRAI) from July 19-25, 2015. It is the oldest, largest, and longest bicycle touring event around, started by Des Moines Register journalists who first traversed the state in the 1970s to report on what they encountered.

The 2015 route starts in Sioux City and ends in Davenport (462 miles). Riders can take part in this trek with a group of bicycling Beloiters for the entire week, a half-week, or just a day or two. Team Beloit jerseys, newly designed each year, are available for participants and supporters at cost.
